What to pack? (2 days until start)

The easy answer to the questions "What to pack?" is "What do you want to carry for two weeks?".

Laurel and I are carrying about 14 pounds each in 30 liter packs. One goal was to be able to fit it all in a carry-on size backpack - check! We are counting on frequent café con leche, wine, and tapas to make the pack seem lighter.

We packed two outfits each and will wear one on the plane for a total of three outfits. We will walk in hiking shoes (not boots) and have a pair of light weight shoes for evening and a pair of saddles to let our feet rest. Also, a poncho and a light jacket for weather changes.

Two weeks of clothing - plus what I wear on the plane

On the non-clothes packing -- from the top left below:
   - first aid kit including basic meds and blister care
   - lime green hand-laundry bag, soap and clothes line with safety pins in place of clips
   - coffee cup and light weight shower towel
   - technology stuff including camera, cables, adapters, battery pack, memory cards
   - rosary making supplies including twine and St. James Santiago crosses
   - pilgrim passport, notepad, money belt/RFID wallet
   - basic toilet kit

Miscellaneous stuff
Laurel has a couple more clothing items than me, but I am carrying the shared items like the first aid kit, laundry stuff, and the technology toys. She has the purple bag and mine is the blue bag. Ready to go!

Packed and ready to go
