A lot longer on the trail than we expected today. Either the maps or the guides or both are a little optimistic. We did 34 kilometers (~20 miles) today and it should be one of our longest and hottest days of the trip. It was in mid-90's most of the day and we need to learn to fill up our water bottles more often.
We are staying in Albergue St Lucia tonight. We have lovely top bunks in a room with 40 people. We had a good Pilgrim meal tonight including wine for about 8 euros. I am sure we will sleep good no matter what. (edit: hot as H*LL and no air AND a German lady who would not let us open a window)
Tomorrow we have a shorter day of about 20 kilometers to the town of Astoria. We already have a room booked in a pension for the night -- no Germans -- just us.
