To borrow a phrase from the Appalachian Trail hikers we are on a 'zero-day'. That means no walking today -- zero kilometers.
Yesterday being Monday everything was closed in Astorga limiting the amount of things we could see. This morning we woke up to pouring rain and a welcome 20 degree temperature drop. We had planned for one or two down days on the trip so we are making today the first of those.
We are going to stay in Astorga one more night to visit the cathedral and museums. Then head up the mountain towards Cruz De Ferro in the morning. It may mean for a couple long days later but we'll worry about that when it happens. Spontaneity is the best part of the Camino. Live in the moment.
So with good Wi-Fi I thought I would put some more pictures from earlier in the week.
