We really enjoyed León last night. This morning we start our walk to Santiago.
Our pension was very quiet. There were about 20 double rooms and it was built on a 2nd century roman military barracks. There is a glass floor in the basement where you can see the ruins.
We had wonderful tapas at two places. La Taberna early in the afternoon for wine and beer with three different tapas: tomatoes and anchovies, calamari, and cold mussels in olive oil.
We went to the evening vigil at the Cathedral. It was in a side chapel rather than the main altar. The side chapel is actually 200 years older than the Cathedral. The mass was for pilgrims, but it was all in Spanish except for a few traditional Latin responses.
