We had to catch the 6 am train from Santiago to Madrid. We carried our packs to the lobby and Laurel tried out her Spanish skills by requesting "a taxi quickly" -- "taxi exprés" in Spanish.
The desk clerk looked a bit annoyed and I added emphasis by saying "pronto". We soon had our "taxi expresso" -- taxi with two expresso coffees
The Camino provides.
We're now on the train about halfway to Madrid.
